Professional Development
Student Nurse Bridge Program - We provide a unique opportunity for senior nursing students to experience a variety areas of patient care including Lab, Radiology, Rehab, Case Management, Wound Care, as well as various nursing units.
Graduate Nurse Internships - Up to 12 weeks orientation includes PBDS assessment, N-CLEX review program, trained Clinical Coaches, and opportunities to interact with other new graduates and nursing administrators.
Advancement Opportunities - We provide information about promotional opportunities through our hospital intranet site. Many of our employees have been here for 20 years or longer.
Educational Opportunities - We offer BLS, ACLS, and trauma courses to nurses. Other classes are also offered on a routine basis.
Nursing Practice Council - Nurses have a voice at OU Medical Center Edmond and we listen. We know how important nurses are and make efforts to get feedback to meet our nurses' needs. Nurses are encouraged to participate in a variety of committees.
Tuition Reimbursement and Scholarships - Excellent tuition reimbursement and scholarships for dependents are offered.
Employee Advisory Group - This multidisciplinary group provides a voice between hospital departments.
Advancement Program for Professional Registered Nurses - We reward nurses whose efforts provide direct benefit to the goals of the organization and whose activities have been directed toward improving the health status of the communities we serve and to the enhancement of it's mission.
