Kenneth Miller, Ph.D. traces the light reaction to a tiny molecular sensor

Located next to The Children's Hospital in Oklahoma City, the Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation (OMRF) is an independent, biomedical research institute dedicated to understanding and developing more effective treatments for human disease.

OMRF scientists focus on such critical research areas as Alzheimer's disease, cancer, lupus, and heart disease.  Known as one of the nation's oldest and most respected nonprofit biomedical research institutes, OMRF has made breakthroughs for three FDA-approved drugs.

Partnering with the OU College of Medicine and the funded by Presbyterian Health Foundation, OMRF supports an M.D./Ph.D. program to prepare future physician-scientists for careers in academic medicine and clinical investigation. Students participating in this dual-degree program are concurrently enrolled in the the University of Oklahoma's College of Medicine and the Graduate College and may conduct their research projects at OMRF.
