Student Health Services The Family Medicine Center houses Student Health Services and is described at: http://students.ouhsc.edu/HealthServices.asp. Students may make appointments in advance for routine preventative, diagnostic and therapeutic primary health care or call the Family Medicine Center during regular business hours for urgent care.
Student Health Insurance University of Oklahoma Regent's Policy requires students enrolled at the Health Sciences Center to have health insurance prior to the start of their academic program and coverage must be maintained as long as the student is enrolled at HSC. Health Requirements All entering medical students must submit the Health Sciences Center health history form and immunization record. University policy requires all students provide proof of specific immunizations within thirty days of enrollment. In addition, medical students must participate in a program of periodic tuberculin skin testing unless medically contraindicated. Immunization records are maintained in Student Health Services.
Liability Insurance
The University of Oklahoma College of Medicine and its affiliated institutions require professional liability insurance for all students while participating in required clinical experiences. Negotiated by the College, premiums are included in matriculation fees for enrollment.
