Having the most advanced cancer treatment and research is of ultimate importance at OU Medical Center. Patients from all parts of Oklahoma and the surrounding regions are referred to OU Medical Center for the treatment of adult and pediatric cancers. Along with OU Physicians and the Peggy and Charles Stephenson Cancer Center, OU Medical Center provides a comprehensive range of diagnostic and treatment options, specializing in almost every area of cancer treatment or research, including: medical oncology, radiation oncology, pediatric oncology, gynecological oncology, blood disorders and bone marrow transplant.
While all types of cancers are treated at the adult hospitals, women's cancer is a special area of emphasis. Five doctors, board-certified in gynecological oncology, provide evaluation and treatment of cancers of the cervix, uterus and other female organs. They are actively involved in medical research to find new and more effective treatments in the fight against female cancers.
