Home Volunteers & Pet Therapy
At OU Medical Center, we offer unique volunteer programs to those with special talents and interests.
The Home Volunteers are comprised of those with loving skills in sewing, knitting and crocheting. They create hand-made items for our tiniest patients in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit and for our elder patients on the geriatric unit. Sewing groups are always welcome to participate.
Volunteers in the Pet Therapy or "Paw Print Pals" program visit patients and families in the hospital each week. All therapy dogs are required to be registered with Therapy Dogs International, Inc. Volunteers and canine friends must comply with the rules and regulations of OU Medical Center.
