Our radiation oncologists use one of Oklahoma's two Gamma Knives to destroy brain tumors and blood vessel abnormalities without an incision. Some of these conditions might otherwise be untreatable. Through this 20-ton unit, treatment is administered to critical locations of the brain without surgical risk or a long hospital stay for your child.
We also specialize in the following therapies and treatments:
- Image fusion
- Palliative medicine
- Intensity-modulated radiation therapy
- Combined treatments with chemotherapy for lung cancer and head and neck cancers
- Low-dose radiation for Graves' Disease
- Total-body irradiation for bone marrow transplant preparation and leukemia
- Pre- and post-surgical bone radiation
- Radiation for skin cancer and tumors just beneath the skin
- Brachytherapy, including: --Low-dose-rate brachytherapy for selected recurrent cancers
- High-dose-rate, after-loading brachytherapy for gastrointestinal, lung and esophageal cancers
