Pediatric Grand Rounds are held each Wednesday from 12:15-1:15 p.m. in the Rainbolt Family Auditorium in the Samis Education Center. Each week a member of our Pediatric faculty, other OUHSC faculty or a visiting physician/healthcare professional presents a timely topic related to children’s health and/or welfare.
More Information About Pediatrics Grand Rounds
The primary objective of Grand Rounds is to cover the needs of practicing pediatricians and attending faculty. Pediatric Grand Rounds offers formal 45-minute lecture presentations on a broad variety of current issues in the area of health care for children. Through this media, Grand Rounds provide:
Attendance is approximately 80-100 persons, including faculty and resident physicians, medical students, nurses, allied health professionals, students and community physicians. Our scheduling goal is to present balanced topics covering general as well as specific pediatric health care.
Participants desiring Continuing Medical Education credit are asked to sign in and then complete an online survey sent after the presentation to an email address they provide. The surveys are compiled and results and comments are recorded and the information is made available to the speaker. Recommendations for future speakers and/or topics are also recorded from these Surveys, which help determine future Grand Rounds presentation topics and speakers.
