Adult Congenital Heart Disease Program

Thanks to advances in heart care, approximately 90 percent of patients born with congenital heart disease will survive to adulthood. This often requires follow-up care through their adult lives, so our adult congenital heart disease program is designed to provide a lifetime commitment to all of our patients.

Our program provides a comprehensive array of adult-focused inpatient and outpatient services to meet the medical, physical, emotional and social needs of our patients. By partnering with our colleagues at the Cardiovascular Institute, we are better able to personalize the care and treatment for patients by also offering guidance on how their individual heart conditions may affect important milestones in adulthood, such as employment, physical activity and even pregnancy.
