Residents receive clinical training at the following hospitals:


The Oklahoma University Medical Center is the major educational institution for the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine and is a 350-bed tertiary care medical center with a full complement of supporting clinical departments and ancillary services. It is a Level I Trauma Center and an NCI-designated Cancer Center. The clinical experience at OUMC allows residents to care for medically complex and cultural diverse patient populations. In addition the four general inpatient ward services, there is a resident run Hematology and Oncology. Residents spend approximately 70 percent of their three years at OUMC.


The Oklahoma City VA Medical Center is a 192-bed tertiary care hospital that is integrated into the Health Sciences Center campus and connected via skywalk. The hospital is equipped with full subspecialty support. The residency program supports two general medicine teams at the VA. Staff physicians are University of Oklahoma faculty members. Residents spend approximately 30 percent of their three years at VAMC.
