The following competency-based Educational Program Objectives guide the planning, delivery, and evaluation of the College of Medicine undergraduate medical education program. Courses and clerkships organize the instruction and assessment of medical students using relevant objectives listed below. The core curriculum includes competencies in medical knowledge, patient care, communication, professionalism, practice-based learning and improvement, and systems-based practice. The School of Community Medicine includes the core curriculum competencies and those competencies listed under community medicine.
