Visiting Student Information

visiting-studentU.S. Students from LCME-accredited schools must apply to visit our program through the Visiting Student Application Service (VSAS) for the current academic year. Applications may be submitted through VSAS starting on May 1st.

Students from non US Medical schools must apply to our School of Community Medicine-Tulsa campus through the Global Health Learning Opportunity (GHLO). The Oklahoma City campus currently accepts students through special
international exchange programs from the following schools:

  • Kyoto Prefectural University of Medicine, Kyoto, Japan
  • University of Auvergne, Clermont-Ferrand, France

Visiting Student Requirements

Visiting students are required to provide proof of the following:

  • Verification of Current Immunizations
  • Personal Health Insurance
  • Professional Liability Insurance
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certification
  • Verification of a passing score on the United States Medical Licensing Exam - Step 1 or Step 1 of COMLEX.  

Upon accepting the VSAS or GHLO elective rotation offer students must agree to read, accept and comply with the following required policies:
