In her role as chief nursing officer, Pierce is responsible for overseeing and coordinating OU Medical System’s nursing team and its daily operations.

After graduating, she worked as a nurse on the labor and delivery unit at the-then University Hospital. She spent 11 years in women’s services and was promoted to director of women’s services in 2006 before moving into an executive position.
