OU CHILDREN’S PHYSICIANS ANNOUNCES ADDITION OF HEMATOLOGIST-ONCOLOGIST

LinzAmanda-PedHemOnc01      OKLAHOMA CITY – Amanda L. Linz, M.D., a pediatric hematologist-oncologist, has joined the staff of OU Children’s Physicians. She sees patients at the Jimmy Everest Center for Cancer and Blood Disorders in Children, located in the OU Children’s Physicians building, 1200 Children’s Avenue.

      Linz has also been named an assistant professor with the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine. She is board certified in pediatrics, pediatric hematology-oncology and pediatric hospice and palliative medicine. She diagnoses and treats children with cancer, as well as providing hospice and palliative care to pediatric cancer patients.

      Linz completed a physician scientist training program fellowship at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, Memphis, Tennessee. She completed a pediatric palliative care fellowship at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center, Memphis. She earned a master’s degree in clinical and translational science from the OU College of Medicine, where she also completed a pediatric hematology-oncology fellowship and pediatric residency. She earned her medical degree at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences, Little Rock.

      Linz is a member of the American Academy of Hospice and Palliative Medicine, American Society of Pediatric Hematology/Oncology, Academic Academy of Pediatrics and the American Academy of Pediatrics-Oklahoma Chapter.
