PEDIATRIC ENDOCRINOLOGIST JOINS HAROLD HAMM DIABETES CENTER

MeyerJonathan-Endo01     OKLAHOMA CITY – Pediatric Endocrinologist Jonathan D. Meyer, M.D., has established his practice with the Harold Hamm Diabetes Center. He has also been named a clinical professor at the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine.

      Pediatric endocrinologists specialize in the diagnosis and treatment of diseases affecting the endocrine system. These may include: diabetes, growth disorders, disorders of cholesterol and triglycerides, disorders of bone and calcium, disorders of early and late puberty, disorders of the pituitary and adrenal glands, childhood obesity and thyroid disorders.

      Meyer is board certified in pediatrics and board eligible in pediatric endocrinology. He is specifically interested in diagnosing and treating children with congenital adrenal hyperplasia/disorders of sexual development and bone disorders. He will also be involved in research regarding fetal complications of maternal diabetes.

      Meyer completed a fellowship in pediatric endocrinology at the OU College of Medicine. He completed his pediatric residency at the University of Texas Health Science Center, San Antonio, and earned his medical degree at the University of Texas Medical Branch, Galveston.

      Meyer is a member of the Pediatric Endocrine Society and Endocrine Society.
