ADOLESCENT MEDICINE PHYSICIAN JOINS OU CHILDREN’S PHYSICIANS

LawlisShauna-Adolescent01      OKLAHOMA CITY – Shauna M. Lawlis, M.D., an adolescent medicine physician, has established her practice with OU Children’s Physicians. She has also been named an assistant professor with the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine.

      Adolescent medicine physicians provide comprehensive general health care to teenagers, including routine wellness checks, sports physicals and immunizations. Lawlis also sees patients with gender identity concerns and provides counseling and treatment including puberty pausing, menstrual suppression and gender affirming hormones.

      Lawlis is board certified in pediatrics. She completed a fellowship in adolescent medicine at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center, Cincinnati, Ohio. She completed her pediatrics residency and internship and earned her medical degree at Baylor College of Medicine, Houston.

      Lawlis is a member of the Society for Adolescent Health and Medicine and the American Academy of Pediatrics.
