BavleAbhishek-PedsHemOnc01      OKLAHOMA CITY – Abhishek A. Bavle, M.D., a pediatric neuro-oncologist, has joined the staff of OU Children’s Physicians. He sees patients at the Jimmy Everest Center for Cancer and Blood Disorders in Children. He has also been named an assistant professor with the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine.

      As a neuro-oncologist, Bavle treats cancers involving the brain and nervous system. He is board certified in pediatrics and pediatric hematology-oncology. He completed fellowships in pediatric neuro-oncology and pediatric hematology-oncology at Baylor College of Medicine, Houston. He completed a pediatric residency at the University of Louisville, Kentucky. He earned his medical degree in India.

      Bavle is a member of the American Society of Pediatric Hematology-Oncology, Children’s Oncology Group and the American Board of Pediatrics.

      Bavle’s clinic is located in the OU Children’s Physicians building, 1200 Children’s Avenue. For appointments with pediatric hematologist-oncologists at the Jimmy Everest Center, call (405) 271-4412.
