THE CHILDREN’S HOSPITAL TO PROVIDE FREE MEALS FOR CHILDREN THIS SUMMER

OKLAHOMA CITY – As part of its commitment to leading health care and improving the lives of all children in the community, The Children’s Hospital, in cooperation with Sodexo, will be participating in the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Summer Food Service Program (SFSP) during summer break, June 4 to July 31, 2018. Through the program, meals are provided at breakfast and lunch during the week at no cost to children 18 years and younger on a first-come, first served basis. The Children's Hospital is the first hospital in the state to offer meals for free while school is out.

SFSP is similar to the National School Lunch Program and ensures children continue to receive adequate nutrition when school is out for summer break. The meals and service provided are the same for all children regardless of race, color, national origin, sex, age or disability. Meals will be provided on a first-come, first-served basis at the site and times as follows:

The Children’s Hospital
1200 Childrens Ave. (at NE 13th Street and Childrens Avenue)
