Courses

The faculty of the Department of Cell Biology actively pursue creative means of enhancing the learning of professional students. The faculty review all courses on an annual basis so that new material can be incorporated. The syllabi for all courses taught in the Department of Cell Biology are well regarded by the students as being detailed, well illustrated, and up-to-date. Laboratory teaching methods include the use of computer-aided instruction materials, laser disc, and models to enhance the learning environment. We actively encourage clinical faculty participation, particularly in the laboratory portions of our courses. We have integrated clinical correlation lectures into our courses to emphasize the importance of basic science knowledge to the understanding of clinical material.
