  • Counseling and Intervention Services provide individuals with the opportunity to:
    • Learn HIV/AIDS infection status
    • Gain an understanding of risky behaviors
    • Develop strategies and adopt behavior which may lower their risk for HIV/AIDS
    • Learn about opportunities and resources to support the adoption and maintenance of safer sex behavior.​ 
  • Other program components include, but are not limited to:
    • Health Education and Risk Reduction Projects
    • Resource Center with education materials
    • Continuing education for HIV/AIDS prevention
    • Program Evaluation and Quality Assurance
    • Referral of individuals practicing high risk behavior and those infected with HIV/AIDS into psychological or medical services in order to meet primary and/or secondary prevention needs
