The University of Oklahoma (OU) Health Sciences Center (OUHSC) in the U.S. and Irkutsk State Medical University (ISMU) in Russia received a grant award to support establishing a partnership for exchanging faculty, sharing educational resources, creating a new model for graduate education in child maltreatment and prevention in Russia, and raising standards of higher education for serving maltreated and underserved children and their families in the U.S. and Russia.
The US-Russia University Partnership Program (UPP) is an initiative for mutual cultural and academic collaboration that connects higher education institutions in Russia and US with one another and supports the launch of new bilateral partnerships. It provides professors, researchers, administrators and other higher education professionals in Russia and the US an opportunity to broaden the scope of their activities and learn from the vast wealth of knowledge and experience the counterpart institution brings to the partnership. UPP is implemented by the Eurasia Foundation and the National Training Foundation with funding from the U.S. Department of State
