Pediatric Endocrinology Fellowship

The Section of Pediatric Diabetes and Endocrinology offers a three-year ACGME accredited fellowship with training in a broad array of pediatric diabetes and endocrine disorders. Unique aspects of our fellowship include:

Experience in Native American Clinics
Attendance at American Indian clinics allow fellows to participate first-hand in the unique cultural, social, and ethnic-specific components associated with the care of American Indian children with chronic endocrine conditions.  Fellows attend two clinics in the course of their fellowship.  These clinics take place two to three times per month at four sites across the state:

  • Choctaw Nation (Talihina, OK and Durant, OK)
  • Chickasaw Nation (Ada, OK and Ardmore, OK)

Camp Blue Hawk
A program of Harold Hamm Diabetes Center, Camp Blue Hawk programs residentialCamp Blue Hawk2 camps for children and teens, ages 9-17, with type 1 diabetes. Our camps focus on increasing campers’ confidence and diabetes self-management skills, facilitating the development of meaningful friendships between campers, and providing respite for families of youth with type 1 diabetes.  Fellows attend at least once in their 3 year training.
