Susan Hassed, PhD, LCGC, is the ​Coordinator of Clinical Rotations for the Master's of Science in Genetic Counseling program (MSGC) and clinical associate professor in the Department of Pediatrics, Section of Genetics. The MSGC program is ​overseen by the Graduate College at the OU Health Sciences Center.

When Hassed arrived on campus in 1999, after being recruited by John Mulvihill, MD, then section chief for genetics, they began developing the Masters of Genetic Counseling education program from the ground up, eventually earning national accreditation. In 2003, the program accepted its first students; today, it has graduated more than 25 genetic counselors.
