What do you like about this program?

“I chose University of Oklahoma because I loved interacting with everyone at the program during my interview and could see their excitement for the program. Also, my wife’s family lives in the Dallas area, close to Oklahoma, and we see it as a place where we can start a family and potentially stay long term. I like the clinical complexity and exposure to rare conditions, also like the team atmosphere."

David enjoys spending time outdoors including hiking, fishing, and camping. He also loves sports, both playing and watching.

What do you like about this program?

“The close proximity to family combined with the opportunity to learn at a hospital with state of the art facilities and resources made University of Oklahoma the obvious choice. Not only was my interview individualized to me, but the entire faculty, staff, and current fellows were all very welcoming and engaging. The programs provides their fellows with comprehensive training in clinical neonatology, allowing the graduates to independently manage all problems that would gall under the purview of a neonatologist. People here are polite, warm and welcoming. The thought of being able to experience the four seasons is always a plus."

Tavleen enjoys spending time watching home improvement shows and talking up on some projects. She enjoys planning vacations with her husband.

What do you like about OKC and this program:
"Residency training here prepared me far more than I could have imagined for general pediatrics. I fell in love with the city, the people, and the hospital. This NICU has a consistently high census, full of the entire spectrum of neonatal encounters. I knew staying here for fellowship would provide me the clinical experience I wanted to be a confident neonatologist before practicing on my own. I also appreciate that OU has a good foundation for research, including both clinical and basic science opportunities."
