The Section of Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center is proud to announce the Call for Abstracts in the areas of neonatal resuscitation for the 3rd Annual Neonatal Resuscitation Symposium at OU.

This symposium provides an opportunity to present research and quality improvement in all areas pertaining to neonatal resuscitation, which may include education, translational endeavors, simulation and debriefing.  This symposium will highlight the importance of neonatal resuscitation and discuss our common goals and challenges faced by all neonatal health providers.

The deadline for abstract submission is September 5, 2019 by Midnight CST. Abstracts will be notified of acceptance by September 10, 2019. 

Abstract submissions should be limited to 300 words. Upload HERE by September 5, 2019 by Midnight CST. 

Things you need to know if you will present a poster:
The 3rd Annual Neonatal Resuscitation symposium at OU will take place on September 27, 2019.

Please plan to hang your poster between 7-7:30am on September 27. The guide to where to hang them will be available when you arrive. Poster boards and push pins will be provided. Your poster will need to be taken down by 3 pm.

Please remember that as a presenter, you must be registered for the conference.

Please plan for the presenting author to be present by their poster from 2:30-2:45 pm to answer questions about their project. A judging committee will review the posters and an award will be issued for the top poster.  

Poster Guidelines:

  • Posters need to be designed in one of the following lengths and widths: 42 X 56, 42 X 60, 42 X 48, 36 X 48 
  • Boxes of texts, graphics, and graphs aligned 
  • Heading needs to be properly formatted 
  • Avoid RGB and utilize CMYK so that your printed poster will appear similar to your on-screen design colors 
  • Graphics should be saved in a format with a minimum of 300 dpi resolution 
  • Posters must be designed in MS PowerPoint, Adobe Software Product, or MS Publisher. 
  • The template of your choosing may be used.
