Pediatric Diabetes/Endocrinology- Assistant/Associate/Full Professor

The Section of Diabetes/Endocrinology in the Department of Pediatrics at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center is seeking MD candidates at the Assistant, Associate, and Full Professor (tenure track) levels to join the section. Required qualifications for the persons filling these positions include specialty training and Board eligibility or certification in Pediatric Diabetes/Endocrinology, with special interest in obesity, body composition, energy metabolism, or diabetes preferable.  Responsibilities include clinical or basic science research, patient care, and supervision and teaching of students or residents. The Section currently employs 37 persons, including 4 MD faculty, 2 MD fellows, 5 PhD researchers, 1 PharmD, 2 practitioners, and 6 diabetes and endocrine educators, and has an annual NIH research budget of more than $2M. Rank and salary are commensurate with experience and training. Endowed Chairs in the Section are available for exceptional candidates.

Located in the OU Children's Physicians Building, the Department of Pediatrics is a full-service multi-specialty department with 16 sections and approximately 100 faculty members. The faculty constitutes the principal medical and research staff of OU Children's Physicians and shares a common commitment to the well being of the state's children as well as providing a quality education to trainees.
