About Jess Schwartz

Jess D. Schwartz, M.D., FACS, FCCP is a board-certified thoracic surgeon with extensive specialty training in minimally invasive techniques including robotic and video-assisted thoracic surgery. He has a special interest in thoracic malignancies and specializes in treating patients with lung cancer, esophageal cancer, mediastinal malignancies including thymoma and chest wall tumors.

Dr. Schwartz earned a doctor of medicine at New York University School of Medicine, completed General Surgery and Cardiothoracic Surgery residency programs at New York University of Medical Center, a Cardiac and Thoracic Transplantation fellowship at Vanderbilt University, as well as a Thoracic Surgical Oncology fellowship at Harvard University, Brigham and Women’s Hospital.

Dr. Schwartz is dedicated to a patient-centered approach and strives to care for each patient as if they were a member of his own family. As a surgeon, Dr. Schwartz feels privileged that he can impact the lives of his patients and their families, and be there to comfort them.
