About Scott Blair

Scott Blair, D.O. enlisted in the United States Air Force straight out of high school, serving on Active Duty from 1998-2002 in Spokane, WA, at Fairchild AFB. He was deployed to Kuwait for Operation Southern Watch where he was stationed at Ali Al Salem Air Base and to Saudi Arabia for Operation Enduring Freedom where he was stationed at Prince Sultan Air Base. While in the military he worked as an Electrical Power Production Engineer, operating and maintaining emergency power generators for military bases to continue to maintain support for American interests throughout the Middle East. While serving on active duty, he received numerous awards and medals, in particular the USAF 363rd Expeditionary Support Group Superior Performer, which is awarded to only five percent of the men and women serving in the Air Expeditionary Force.

After receiving an Honorable Discharge after completing his enlistment in the United States Air Force, Dr. Blair graduated with a BS in Molecular and Cellular Biology and a BA in Economics from the University of Washington in Seattle, WA, in 2007. Dr. Blair completed Medical School at Kansas City University of Medicine and Bioscience in Kansas City, MO, graduating in 2011. He was then accepted to the University of South Alabama in the General Surgery Residency program. He completed his General Surgical Residency in 2016, continued on at the University of South Alabama as the Fellow in Surgical Critical Care from 2016 to 2017.

From 2017-2018, Dr. Blair was in a Cardiothoracic Fellowship at the University of Kansas, before accepting a faulty position as an assistant professor of surgery at the University of Oklahoma in the Division of General Surgery, Trauma and Surgical Critical Care as a Surgical Critical Care, Trauma, and Emergency General Surgeon.

Dr. Blair has interests in extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO) for patients with adult respiratory Distress Syndrome and the care of critically-injured and critically-ill surgical patients and emergent general surgical conditions.
