About Wajeeha Razaq
Wajeeha Razaq, MD joined the Hematology/Oncology department in 2012 and serves as the site chair for breast cancer. She works closely with campus education efforts by coordinating rotations for medical students and is chair of the Clinical Competency Committee for the Hematology/Oncology Fellowship Program.
Dr. Razaq’s research interests are concentrated on locally advanced and metastatic breast cancer in addition to the breast malignancy phase I program at the Stephenson Cancer Center. She is an investigator on many clinical and phase I trials conducted on campus. Dr. Razaq has also published many articles and abstracts on the subject of breast cancer.
She serves on the Breast Administrative Committee that provides oversight to the clinical care process from diagnosis to survivorship. Dr. Razaq completed her residency at SUNY Downstate Long Island College Hospital and her fellowship in Hematology/Oncology at Mount Sinai Roosevelt Hospital in New York. She is board certified in internal medicine and medical oncology.
