Department of Internal Medicine - Residency Program
As the largest medical center in the state and a renowned regional referral center, the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center trains tomorrow's leaders in both private practice and academic Internal Medicine. As reflected by our 3-year ABIM Board Examination pass rate of 96%, the Internal Medicine Residency Program provides outstanding training in the fundamental skills and knowledge that make an effective internist.
Our campus is a thriving, energetic center for academic excellence. We share the expansive resources of one of only four comprehensive academic health centers in the nation with seven professional colleges on a single campus. Our Stephenson Cancer Center (www.oumedicine.com/cancer) is one of the nation's largest Phase I trial centers. The Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation, also on campus, is one of the largest and oldest nonprofit medical research institutions in the US, and has been ranked one of the top 20 "Best Places to Work in Academia" in the nation three years in a row (www.omrf.org).
