Our Mission

The Oklahoma Center for Neuroscience is located on the campus of the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center in Oklahoma City. The Center was established in 1991 for the Oklahoma community both to serve as a research center and to provide information resources on the nervous system.

Goals of the Center.....

  • To promote fundamental and clinical research on the nervous system.
  • To teach students, residents, and fellows about the nervous system.
  • To provide a forum for the exchange of ideas.
  • To serve as a source of information for the public.

These Goals are accomplished by.....

  • Sponsoring educational programs for training new neuroscientists.
  • Providing resources for the development of clinical and basic research programs.
  • Offering an annual Oklahoma Center for Neurosciences Symposium for scientists and the Public.
  • Increasing community awareness of nervous system disorders.
