Cardiovascular Services

OU Medical Center Edmond's cardiovascular program includes a heart catheterization (heart cath) lab. Heart catheterization is a procedure that looks at blood flow through the coronary arteries and is used to diagnose blockages and study the function of the heart chambers.

EMC's heart cath lab features state-of- the-art x-ray equipment designed to diagnose and treat blockages or stenosis in the arteries and determine the functional efficiency of the heart chambers. The cath lab is also used to check intracardiac pressures to diagnose disease. Our cath lab team has over 75 years of working experience specifically in heart cath lab settings and all members of the staff are ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certified.
