Diagnostic Imaging

The Diagnostic Imaging Center at OU Medical Center Edmond provides the latest tools in identifying medical problems from heart disease  to broken bones. Our newly expanded center offers patients both the comfort and the privacy patients deserve during testing times.

Equipped with the PACS system, our Diagnostic Imaging Center allows physicians to rapidly reference images taken at the facility on hospital computer terminals, in the surgical suites of the hospital, and even remotely through secure networks. This system provides the reference point for physicians to accurately diagnose and treat disease quickly, which increases the quality of care our patients receive.

Diagnostic tools available within the Diagnostic Imaging Center include:

  • GE Lightspeed 64-slice CT Scanner
  • GE Optima wide bore MRI that can accommodate patients up to 400 pounds
  • Bone Densitometry
  • Nuclear Medicine testing including Cardiac Stress Tests
  • Diagnostic X-ray rooms
  • Digital Ultrasound -- General, Obstetrics, Vascular, Echocardiography

With expanded hours available for outpatient CT scans and MRI's, the Diagnostic Imaging Center makes it convenient to fit these tests into today's busy lifestyle. Both our CT Scanner and MRI Scanner are available from 7:00 am to 8:00 pm Monday - Friday for outpatient appointments. In addition, MRI services and Digital Mammography are available for Saturday appointments from 8:00 am to 3:00 pm.
