About Senior Services

Seniors often have complex health needs. Though often regarded as part of the aging process, this is not always the case. Turning to the geriatricians at OU Medical Center Senior Health Center can prevent many unnecessary problems. Early diagnosis helps prevent minor problems from becoming serious and requiring a hospital visit or long-term nursing care.

We are Oklahoma's largest group of board-certified geriatricians. Geriatricians are trained to diagnose and treat seniors' unique health care problems. People 65 or better with the following symptoms may benefit from an evaluation by a geriatrician.

  • Balance problems
  • Frequent falls
  • Changes in eating habits
  • Sleeplessness
  • Loss of bladder control
  • Changes in memory or emotions
  • The blues
  • Fatigue
