Children With Cleft - Newborn

Immediately after birth, your child may have difficulties feeding. Fortunately, several options are available to help (they can be found below.) Typically, your child’s cleft lip is repaired at 10 weeks of age, and your child’s palate around 10 months of age. In some cases, your doctor may recomment pre-surgical orthopedic appliances, or pre-surgical orthodontic appliances. This is also the tie to meet The Team for the first time!
