About Children's Digestive Diseases

You'll want the most comprehensive care if your child suffers from a digestive disease or nutritional disorder. These conditions can interfere with your child's day-to-day life and even be life-threatening.

OU Children's Physicians pediatric gastroenterologists diagnose and manage gastrointestinal and liver diseases in patients from newborn through 20 years of age. Our gastroenterologists are board certified in pediatrics and pediatric gastroenterology, and in many cases, provide specialized treatments found nowhere else in Oklahoma and the region.

Our clinic is the only one in the state to be part of a national network on pediatric inflammatory bowel disease, a designation that brings additional expertise to patients and families. Our aerodigestive disease, nutritional rehabilitation and special liver clinics are also unique to Oklahoma, and our advanced motility intestinal tract testing is a resource for the entire region.

We offer a full spectrum of tests and treatments for a wide range of liver and gastric conditions in children, including:

  • Chronic abdominal pain
  • Constipation
  • Encopresis
  • Reflux
  • Liver disease
  • Gastrointestinal (GI) bleeding
