EMS: Saving Our Youngest Patients
September 15-16, 2017

Children's neonatal transport helicopter Air Kids One

Target audience

Attendees should include pre-hospital emergency medical services providers, including first responders, firefighters, emergency medical technicians and paramedics. Nursing students, emergency and critical care nurses are also encouraged to attend.

“EMS: Saving our Youngest Patients” is a two-day conference intended to provide the pre hospital emergency medical services practitioner quality, EMS-oriented pediatric medical education. Patient care topics will be discussed in a lecture format with audience interaction welcome and encouraged. Through a combination of educational lecture, inspirational and, in some cases, comedic presentations, The Children’s Hospital hopes to improve your ability to provide care to our youngest, most precious patients. Continuing education evaluations will be used to assess the success of the conference goals and prepare for the next pediatric EMS conference at The Children’s Hospital.

Overall learning objective

Upon completion of this activity, participants will be able to describe evidence-based practices and current trends in pre-hospital pediatric emergency medical services and integrate undated knowledge and skill into daily practice.
