Pediatric Underserved & Marginalized Populations

global health
2015 marks the first year of our PUMP pathway.  The pathway is a unique longitudinal clinical opportunity for residents with interests in global health and under served local communities.  The curriculum includes didactic afternoons, simulations, and conferences dedicated to teaching about these communities close to home and around the world.

In addition, those interested are given the opportunity to rotate outside of the United States during their residency.  Last year some of our residents traveled to Peru and Africa for 4 week rotations.

International work is a growing area of interest here at OU pediatrics and we are very excited to see where this program goes!
