Dominic C. Frimberger, M.D.
Chief of Pediatric Urology

Dominic C. Frimberger, M.D. is a board certified Urologist who received his medical degree from the University of Wurzburg in Germany. He did his urology residency in a combined program through the Department of Urology of the Ludwig- Maximilians University Hospital in Munich, Germany and the Brady Urological Institute at the Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, MD. He went on to complete his fellowship in Pediatric Urology at the Johns Hopkins Hospital and serves as a Professor of Pediatric Urology at the Children’s Hospital of the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center since 2004. Dr. Frimberger is a member of the American Urological Association, Oklahoma ​State Urological Association, and ​ American Association of Pediatric Urologists and serves as the Secretary/Treasurer.

Bhalaajee Meenakshi-Sundaram
Bhalaajee Meenakshi-Sundaram, M.D.

Bhalaajee Meenakshi-Sundaram, M.D. is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Urology, where he specializes in pediatric urology care. He graduated from The University of Oklahoma with a Bachelor in Chemistry prior to attending The University of Oklahoma College of Medicine where he received his medical ​degree. Dr. Sundaram completed his urology residency training at The University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center. After residency, Dr. Sundaram went to Washington University in St. Louis where he completed his fellowship training in pediatric urology. Dr. Sundaram is a member of the American Urological Association.

Adam Rensing
Adam Rensing, M.D.

Adam Rensing, M.D., is an Assistant Professor of Pediatric Urology at the University of Oklahoma.  He completed his medical degree and urologic surgical training at Washington University in St. Louis.  Additionally, he completed a fellowship in pediatric urology at Riley Hospital for Children at Indiana University.  Dr. Rensing cares for children with all urologic conditions. He has a special interest in minimally invasive, robot-assisted surgery and reconstruction for the neuropathic bladder.  He sees patients both at the OU Children’s Hospital and OU Physicians Tisdale Specialty Health Clinic in Tulsa, OK.  Dr. Rensing is a member of the American Urological Association and the Societies for Pediatric Urology.

Dorsa Ahlfeld
Dorsa Ahlefeld, APRN

Dorsa Ahlefeld, APRN became a RN in in the 90's and found working in Pediatrics was where she belong. Dorsa's nursing career started at OU Children’s Hospital which allowed her to continue ​her education. Dorsa graduated with a Master’s in Science from the University of Oklahoma and became a Certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner. She worked in Primary Care for several years and then got the opportunity to join the OU Pediatrics Urology team.  ​Dorsa's patient population is mainly children with Bowel and Bladder Dysfunction. In that population, more complex diagnoses such as hydronephrosis, vesicoureteral reflux, neurogenic bladder, urinary retention and testicular problems show up randomly which keeps ​her busy.  Dorsa loves helping patients and their family reach their urological potential and feels it is the most rewarding and satisfying feeling. Dorsa enjoys the daily collaboration with my colleagues in developing the best care plan possible for ​all of her patients. Dorsa continues her medical education by attending national conferences and clinical conferences each year. ​Dorsa is a member of the Pediatric Urology Nurses and Specialists.
Valari Cathey

Valari Cathey, ​APRN

Valari Cathy, ​APRN completed her Bachelors in Nursing at Southwestern Oklahoma State University.  While in nursing school, she discovered her passion for pediatrics. Soon after graduating, Valari accepted a position at OU Children's Hospital. Valari went on to become a Certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner graduating with a Master's in Science from the University of Oklahoma. Valari has been with OU Physician's Pediatric Urology clinic for over​ ten years. Valari sees patients with bladder bowel dysfunction, urinary tract infections, vesicoureteral reflux, hyrodephrosis, neurogenic bowel and blassers, testicular and genitourinary disorders. Valari is a member of  the Pediatric Urology Nurses and Specialists.


Jennifer Cooper
Jennifer Cooper, APRN

Jennifer graduated from the University of Central Oklahoma with ​her Bachelor of Science in Nursing Degree. From early on​ she realized ​her passion for pediatrics, and caring for children is a true privilege. Jennifer continued on to obtain her Master of Science in Nursing Degree from Maryville University in St. Louis to practice as a Certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner. Jennifer has been at The Children’s Hospital for seven years during which time she has been privileged to learn and participate in the medical management of a variety of conditions affecting our pediatric patients. ​The Pediatric Urology clinic is one that focuses on collaboration and teamwork to care for a multitude of genitourinary concerns. Jennifer's goal as a Nurse Practitioner is to develop trusting relationships with families and individualized plans of care.  Education is the cornerstone of ​her practice, and ​she has a strong belief in education empowering patients and their families to optimize their health and wellness. ​Jennifer is honored to help guide ​her patients through a variety of minor, to more acute or chronic urological conditions, to provide education and care through evidence-based practice, and to help every child reach their full potential.
